Fancy-Pants Chocolate Croissants

This 'recipe' only has two ingredients. TWO! And it's a crowd pleaser. Only seve to people you already like or else you may have some new 'friends'. So here we go:

1 bag chocolate chips
1 package crescent rolls (the kind that come in a tube)

Unroll dough from tube. Separate each crescent roll triangle along the perforated edges. Place lots of chocolate chips at the wide end of the dough triangle. Then roll up into crescent shape (directions on package). Cook according to package directions.

And . . . BOOYA! You have just made a delicate french pastry filled with chocolate.

Do not panic. This child is NOT making this recipe. Nope, this child is making floury 'goo'. Um . . . it was an accident . . . (NOT MY FAULT)

  1. THOSE ARE MY FAVORITE FAKE FANCY DESSERTS EVER!!! I have made them for lots of different people and they gushed over them like crazy. MMMMMMM. How I wish I had those ingredients on hand. I specifically avoided buying either ingredient at the store last week because I had an unhealthy ability to eat six of these in one sitting. I have to go to the store tomorrow and I think I just might have to buy me a can of crescent rolls and some chocolate chips. Remind me to put elastic-waist pants on my birthday wish list.

  2. I've never had these Jos, but I plan to now! I alawys think of you when I have a chocolate croissant. You are the one that introduced them to me afterall! What was the name of that grocery store in D.C. that made the BEST ones? Do you remember that?

  3. Mmmmmmmm. I just got done eating one of these. I had a chocolate craving and was raiding the fridge when I realized that I had a tube of crescent rolls that was about to expire. Can't let that happen! I also had a Costco size bag of dark chocolate chips. Double good! I used the 'big and fluffy' Pillsbury rolls and I loved the big size. Thanks so much for posting this!
